S. Tetteh + Associates attended Shelter Afrique’s 2018 AGM in Nairobi Kenya, themed Moving from Talk to Action: Institutional Investment in Affordable Housing.
This year’s AGM, which was held from the 18th to the 20th of July, sought to explore new ways of raising finance to support the development of affordable housing on the continent, given the context of inadequate housing supply, rising demand and limited government resources in most African countries. The symposium discussed drivers to encourage investment from non-bank institutions, including pension funds, Development Finance Institutions, Investment Trust and Mutual Funds.
STA’s Augustine Owusu-Ansah was on hand to give a presentation on STA’s winning entry for the 5000 for 5000 Affordable Housing Design Competition and answer questions from the audience of shareholders, delegates and conference participants.
